Waypoint is a private, nonprofit agency, that works to empower people of all ages through an array of human services and advocacy. Waypoint’s positive impact on lives and communities is manifest through the following: adoption, prenatal support, parent education/family support, family resource centers, services for children with developmental concerns or chronic health conditions, child care, home-based family preservation, supervised visitation, foster care, a continuum of services for youth experiencing homelessness, and home care for older adults and adults with disabilities. Waypoint also works at the legislative level to protect the rights and well-being of children and New Hampshire’s most vulnerable residents. Established in 1850, Waypoint is the oldest children’s charitable organization in New Hampshire. Today, through 26 programs and 14 locations, Waypoint serves an average of 8000 individuals per year across New Hampshire and eastern Vermont. Waypoint is accredited by the Council on Accreditation, meaning that the Agency adheres to the highest standards of practice and operation. Waypoint is powered by multiple funding sources, including state, federal, and local contracts, United Way, special events, insurance /service fees, foundation grants, and private philanthropy.
