Southern New Hampshire is fortunate to collaborate with the Manchester School District to serve learners and their communities. SNHU learners can be found completing their student teaching field work in classrooms across Manchester as well as completing service learning projects to encourage civic engagement and provide young students with older mentors. SNHU has completed seven computer lab renovations since 2013 in Manchester schools meant to lessen the technology gap which can create barriers to educational and vocational pathways. SNHU also runs the Center for New Americans program in partnership with YWCA NH, which aims to serve the educational needs of new American families in Manchester while providing a safe space for culturally appropriate community building. The Center includes the Amiko youth program which serves nearly 300 students with a safe, engaging, and educational afterschool and summer program. The partnership between higher education and K-12 ensures students have a plethora of opportunities to pursue in their future.
