MY TURN Project Connect

MY TURN’s newest program model opened in Manchester in December 2021. Project Connect develops relationships with youth in the city of Manchester at high risk for criminal involvement. Project Connect uses a multi-pronged approach, employing both street outreach & case management staff to provide a combination of structured and unstructured programming. Outreach is targeted in the low-income, high-crime neighborhoods of the city. Program staff have a presence at a variety of community-based events while programming and case management take place at a multi-use location at 340 Granite Street. Our center hosts classes, guest speakers, support groups, and leisure space where participants will have access to a variety of positive extra-curricular activities.

Extended Learning Opportunities – Memorial High School

An ELO is a way for a student to demonstrate mastery of academic competency, and to receive high school credit for that mastery, in some way other than attending a formal class at school. All ELO projects must be approved in advance by an administrator and the ELO Coordinator at the student’s school. Ideas can come from the student, a teacher, a school counselor, or from many other sources.
